Course Details:

Intakes for the Year:

January, April, July, September

Duration Full Time Students:

  • 5 Weeks Theory
  • 12 Weeks Practical (540 HRS)

Duration Part Time Students:

Class Every Alternate Saturday (Please contact the training centre for more information)

  • PRACTICAL (300 HRS)
  • COURSE TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN 12 MONTHS

Admission Criteria:

  • Grade 10 – 12
  • English First or Additional Language as classes are conducted in English

Learning Outcomes:

After completion of the course students will be able to have the knowledge and skills to:

  • Provide effective and efficient quality care for a client within their home, community or care facility
  • Assist clients with regards to their specific needs
  • Assist the elderly with activities of daily living in order for them to live as comfortably, safely and independently as possible

  • 2 x certified copies of identity document
  • 2 x certified copies of school certificate
  • 2 x certified copies of marriage certificate (if applicable)
  • 2 x ID photos for student card
  • 1 x Lever Arch File (Code JD1074) (This can be purchased at the training center)

  • THERE WILL BE A MAXIMUM INTAKE OF 15 STUDENTS PER CLASS WITH 5 INTAKES FOR THE YEAR (Dates will be communicated)
